Fall wedding season is here! I love doing lots of weddings, but it does make me get behind on blogging. A couple weeks ago we had the honor of photographing Don and Jocelyn. They looked wonderful with having gotten their gown and tuxes from The Country Bride and Gent Store. My first wedding, out of almost 200 weddings that I shot, with a full choir! The ceremony took place at the beautiful Grace Epiphany Episcopal Church. Since Jocelyn's mother was a concert pianist and her father is a singer, so it's no suprise that the music was a major part of the wedding ceremony. The music leader was Gideon Whitehead, Guitar. She also had an awesome DJ for the reception, Jimmy Moise, from The Best of Both Worlds. During the reception, when Jocelyn spontaneously asked Jimmy if he had the music to "Unforgettable" so her and her father could sing it to eachother, Jimmy was actually able to ask her, "In which key do you want it?" Ha, how many other DJ's could do that? The whole wedding was beautiful, but to me, one of the highlights was Jocelyn's father singing during the ceremony. He just stood up in place, with no microphone, and belted out "The Lord's Prayer" with such love and devotion I don't think there was a dry eye in the church.
